Thu 03 Jul – Meet 18:30 at Pangbourne village hall car park (free after 18:00) [GR SU634765] 5 miles via Tidmarsh, Pangbourne College, Lower Bowden and Shooter’s Hill, returning alongside Thames, some hills. Possible visit to LPH (Swan or Cross Keys) afterwards.

Wed 30 Jul – SHORT Use bus pass, 10:32am No 138 Reading Bus from Station Stop SL (opposite roundabout) to Sonning Common (Brinds Corner). Walk starts 11:00am via Crosslands, Golf Course and Peppard Church. No stiles, some hills 5 miles. Car drivers, B481 from Reading approaching Sonning Common, right into Widmore Lane (just past Vauxhall Garage and traffic lights). Park in lay-by at back of Butchers Arms or grass opposite. Sun 17 Aug – Meet 10:00am Hambleden village car park (behind Stag and Huntsman) [GR SU785865]. 9½ miles, moderate pace via Upper Woodlands, Southend, Stonor and Roundhouse Farm. Sun 31 Aug – Figure of 8 walk. Morning: Meet 10:00am Upper Maidensgrove Road [GR SU713889]. 6½ miles via Nettlebed, Park Corner and Russells Water; no large hills. Wed 03 Sep – Meet 10:30am Rushall Manor Farm. [GR SU584724]. Via Collier’s Wood down to Bradfield, along the Pang passing Bradfield Hall & Farm. 6 miles. (Tel: 926 4134).

Sat 06 Sep – HAMBLE RIVER VALLEY AND SOLENT WAY.
9:07am train to Basingstoke, 9:30am to Southampton, then 10:42am train to Bursledon, arrive 11:05am. Fares: Adult £16.70, Seniors with card £11.05. Cars park at Bursledon Station, (outskirts of Southampton). Please phone Tessa by Friday evening the 5th, if going by car, parking was free with plenty of room. Walk via the Hamble Causeway, Warsash Ferry [?£1] to Hamble, then Solent Way along Southampton Water to the Royal Victoria Park and Netley Chapel (tea). Walk to Hamble Station to return to Reading or Bursledon. 8 miles. (Tel: 9546333).

Sun 07 Sep – Meet 10:00am West Wycombe garden centre car park [GR SU827946]. 12 miles via Bradenham, Naphill and pub (possible lunch stop), Hughenden Valley and Hughenden Manor (NT) and back to possible tea stop at garden centre. (Tel: 973 4450).

Wed 10 Sep – Meet 10:45am Walbury Hill car park, [GR SU380616] due south of Kintbury, follow the signs for Inkpen Common and Faccombe. Walk via Combe, Buttermere and Test Way. 6½ - 7 miles, hilly. (Tel: 942 3814 or 926 8035).

Sat 13 Sep – Meet The Ancestors! Trip to Avebury (west of Marlborough). Walk of 8 miles with time to visit the stone circle and village. Bring National Trust and / or English Heritage membership cards. For car sharing meet 9:15am main entrance (under the awning, left hand entrance when viewed from car park) of Sainsburys, Calcot (formerly Savacentre) [GR SU653719].
