Timetable. All walks start and finish at the Bird in Hand, Sonning Common [GR SU715792]. Please park carefully in the car park. Alternatively, Reading Buses No. 2 runs half hourly from Reading Station and stops in Kennylands Road near the pub.
9:45am – 6 mile walk. 10:30am – 4 mile walk.
1:00pm – Lunch – non walkers may wish to arrive for a pre-lunch natter from 12:30pm.

Sun 15 Aug – Meet 10:00am Sheffield Bottom Picnic Area [GR SU647705]. 7 miles along Holy Brook to Southcote and back along Kennet and Avon Canal; no hills. Pub very close to finish. 0777 1877456

Wed 18 Aug – Meet 10:30am at the Rectory, Sulhamstead Rd, Ufton Nervet, RG7 4DH [GR SU636677], park on front lawn. Woodland walk in the cool of the shade round Padworth, Round Oak, Mortimer and Burghfield Common. Tea and strawberries in the Rectory garden at the end. No hills, one short upward incline. 7 miles. Directions to Rectory: J12 onto A4 towards Newbury. Over two roundabouts, first left at Spring Inn. Keep straight up to the top of the hill, past 30 limit sign marked ‘Ufton Nervet’.
