Why not lead a walk?

Leading walks is fun, a bit of an adventure and gives you the warm feeling inside you get from enabling others to enjoy a shared experience. Far from being a time-consuming chore, it can be really rewarding. Even if you’ve never done it before, there are many experienced walkers in the club who are only too willing to offer ideas, advice or even recce the walks with you if necessary. So why not give it a go? We really do need more walks leaders at weekends and, with that in mind, now have a dedicated Weekend Walks Co-ordinator in Bob Hurn. Seek him out the next time you’re on a walk, he’ll have his list handy and tell you what dates he’s got free. Alternatively ring him on 950 7696 or email him on Robert.Hurn@Waitrose.com. When Bob has completed his list, he will pass it on to Steve Thomson, the new Newsletter Editor, for publication in the next newsletter and on the website, www.readingramblingclub.com Any other news items should be sent directly to Steve on 988 2053/ 07802 274675, Sacthom@aol.com
